Instagram is Working New Ways to Navigate Through Your Stories Feed

Instagram is working on some new ways to navigate through your Stories feed in the app, in order to help people find more Stories content that they’re interested in.

Reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong posted this example of one of the new tests in action, which would enable users to side the main Stories frame down to reveal the Stories tray at the top of the screen, then switch through to each.

Wong additionally noticed that Instagram has tried another variety of the equivalent previously – which incited Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri to say something, confirming that they are in fact testing new alternatives to navigate individuals with exploring through their Stories stream.

The alternative in itself would add an alternate stream to Stories, and could make them simpler to filter through. Yet, all the more fascinating is the potential move to the following period of the news source, and social media navigation more broadly.

In the course of recent years, Facebook has more than once noticed that Stories are on target to overtake the News Feed as the essential surface for social media engagement.
