Instagram officially announced a new feature in live streaming. All Instagram users can now share or save the video of their Instagram Live streaming to IGTV, and keep it available for viewing for more than 24 hours or as long as they choose in stories.
Up till now, Instagram users had a option to save live streamed video into their camera roll, then they have to re-upload on their account. but now, users also have a option to send the video direct to IGTV.
To share a replay of your live video, tap Share to IGTV at the bottom of the screen after you’ve finished your live video and followto the on-screen guidelines.. Learn more about Posting videos to IGTV and who can see your IGTV videos.
It’s also another approach to boost the value of your content. This feature will be beneficial for users in IGTV content creation because after IGTV monetization it will give a great opportunity to creators to earn revenue through their own live content.
some Limitations to use this feature
According to Instagram:
- Live video replays will exclude any likes or comments from your original live streaming video.
- The number of viewers for your live video will restart once you share it to IGTV.
- You will not be able to edit or trim your live video before sharing it to IGTV.
You can also tap Download Video to save your live video to your camera roll or tap Delete Video > Delete to discard it.
Instagram says that the ‘Share to IGTV’ option is now available to all users.
